Sir Victor Uwaifo, a Nigerian Statesman was born 1st March 1941.
He holds a masters degree (MFA in Sculpture from the University of Benin and B.A. Hons First Class 1995. He also attended Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, where he made a distinction in Graphics (National Diploma) 1963. He is a product of Western Boys High School Benin City and Saint Gregory’s College, Lagos.
Sir Victor Uwaifo was the Hon. Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism and Member of the State Executive Council, Edo State 2001 - 2003. Chairman, Bendel Arts Council 1984 - 1986. He won the first Gold Disc (record) in Africa with the chart burster Joromi in 1966.

Sir Victor Uwaifo was bestowed with National Honours by the President of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari with the award (MON) 25 years ago. He is a Justice of the Peace (JP) 1990.
He is a research Scholar on Tourism Art (new concept) Functional Sculpture and dynamics.

The Cenotaph at the parade ground in Yola, Adamawa State, Maidiguri Borno State, Markurdi, Benue State, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Abeokuta, Ogun State. State House Beautification in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom. Kinetic Sculpture and Oba Akenzua II Statue at the Cultural complex, Benin City, Pilgrimage ground (45 Statues) Stations of the Cross at Igarra, Edo State. The Grotto Beatification Stations in Holy Cross Cathedral, Benin City. Saint Bernnedict, Ijebu - Ode Agenebode, Igiode, Ubiaja, Elaganza Giant Eagle at Apapa, Lagos. Stained Glass at our St. Saviour’s Anglican Church, Etete, Benin and St. John’s Anglican Church, College Road, Benin City and many others too numerous to mention. He personally sculpted most of the works in the Revelation Tourist Centre.
He has a doctorate degree (Honoris Causa) from the Northgate University, Bellingham U.S.A; member of the Performing Rights Society London; Member, Advisory Biographical Council, Cambridge, England; Member, Advisory Council, American Heritage University, California, U.S.A.
He’s listed in the Men and Women of Distinction in the Commonwealth of Nations and documented in the world Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians 1983 Edition, Who is Who in Africa and Who is Who in Nigeria. Sir Victor Uwaifo was invited by the United Nations to perform during her Golden Jubilee Celebration in 1995.
